Trailerpark Bob 04:37 11. Heaven 04:30 Release Notes: Second solo album from Psychodots/Raisins/The Bears frontman and like the work of all those bands, it`s a work of excellence, a statement of purpose from an undisovered talent known by too few folks, including Not Lamers. Sadly, most of the material from the aforementioned bands is out of print(except the new `dots release, Terminal Blvd.!). Simply, you want something different with your daily/weekly dose of great power pop styled music, Rob Fetters and/or Psychodots are for you - you will be rewarded. It`s hard to pin down what Fetters` music sounds like, as he`s always had his own style, which may explain part of the obscurity(and a geniune lack of desire to do the things the music industry requires to become varying degrees of famous). But if you had to pin it down on demand, it`s the type of Todd Rundgren album that he`s perfectly capable of, if only wanted to revisit his earlier obsessions with melodicism and populism of The Beatles. "Wonderful. Accomplished, self-assured...it`s as if Fetters has moved into his Sgt. Pepper period, with warm complex production, and plenty of dark characters with secrets."- Cincinnati Post ."At his best here...a master at combining sharply drawn, incisive lyrics with irresistible pop melodies - plus the welcome addition of real heart. It`s a winning combination." - Cincinnati Enquirer. "`Musician" is daring, as Fetters utilizes the studio to its fullest extent, the result a true "headphone experience"...Ultimately Fetters most engagingly challenging album, a refreshing, bold move from one of Cincinnati`s finest songwriters ever."- CityBeat. "It`s not a stretch to classify "Musician" as a mini-masterpiece given that Fetters plays most of the instruments himself, taps into a deep Dylan-like muse for his songwriting, and produces the entire thing with a confidence that would make Rundgren proud."- D. Lockwood / Scripps Howard. Found this quote out there on a net board, that says it very well, too: "This disc is Tiramisu for the ears. Extremely rich and full bodied in its production values it still retains the tartness of Rob`s quirky wit, head grabbing melodic themes and -- of course -- his absolute mastery of the guitar. If you`ve followed Rob through the Raisins, psychodots and Bears you`re in for an evolutionary treat with this second solo effort. Clearly the product of a seasoned, mature musician making a surprising and delightful artistic leap." Bottom Line, a pure, unfettered(sic) work of a genius. Genius is the word and experience.
