Little Bit Of Soul 02:46 Release Notes: The Meadows are Todd Herfindal and Kevin Houlihan, long time musical co-conspirators who decided to make a rock record like records used to be made, when the songs came first. Written and recorded between fall 2004 and summer of 2005 in Hollywood, the idea was to create something classic, timeless and lasting. It follows then that The Meadows self-titled debut album is, without question, the most unanticipated rock album of 2005. Nobody knew it was coming, and no one knows where it will go. Todd and Kevin both share lead vocal responsibilities. Using the tried and true foundation of drums, bass and guitars, The Meadows built upon the sound with strings, vocal harmonies, organ, violin, viola and noise to create an album that is expansive and cinematic. In fact, the fourth track from the album, "Younger Yesterday," is featured in the Fox/New Regency film "Little Manhattan," releasing on September 30th, 2005 in NYC and Oct 28th nationwide. The song will also appear on the movie soundtrack album. It's a good start for The Meadows indeed. Todd Herfindal is formerly of the San Francisco alt/rock band Blue Sky Roadster and Los Angeles-based pop/rock band Single. Both bands enjoyed regional success and college/commercial radio play. Single's debut album "Welcome Nada" entered the CMJ top 200 in fall of 2004. Kevin Houlihan is formerly of the New Jersey-based band The Fundamentals (MCA) and the founder of Los Angeles band Moontower.
