As more people told me about the problems with Civ Call to power
i decided to try the .exe found with the CLS rip.
After installing the game from cd i copied the .exe found in the cls
rip to the dir \ctp_program\ctp\civctp.exe

Happily the game worked then.
No more 'insert cd' message
when starting a new game.

I could not try if this fixes all problems, but it played fine as
far as i could try it.
Thumbs up to animal & dogfriend who cracked the cls version.
Thumbs down to dvniso who released the uncracked version.
