So enjoy! This fix is intended for all you guys who downloaded the Class release of Red Alert: Counterstrike only to find out that all the scenario's and the INet multiplayer features were taken out and that you were not able to setup and play the game in DOS. We decided to only release the fix and not the full release since Class made that first and since it is not fair for people to download so many disks twice. The Celebre version which will not be distributed publicly but kept within our own ranks, did include a game that was playable in both DOS and WIN95 and INet tools was standard and the RA editors was included and all properly patched and cracked with the old scenario's too as a stand alone package. All is properly working of course. After this run the RAPATCH.EXE to complete the fix. INET: rar x -v -y RAINET.RAR to your Counterstrike directory Change the path names in the inet.reg file Run addreg inet.reg. Now choose westwood.exe from the internet directory. You need to register first. After a while you will receive a password with which you can start playing on the net. Playing is done by using westchat. We where very impressed by their performance on this game so we went on with our normal bussiness. About a day later word reached us that their were problems with the class release. We decided to get the Class release and see what was wrong. Although LTD did an excellent job on preparing their release he really did it the hard way in which he lost all scenario's and INet capabilities. Without scenario's the class release becomes nothing more then a big add-on that allows you to play 16 new missions and 1 old one. This is not what the game is about. The scenario's and the INet capabilities make what Red Alert is today. This fix is intended for all you guys who downloaded the Class release of Red Alert: Counterstrike only to find out that all the scenario's the INet multi player features were taken out and that you were not able to setup and play the game in DOS. The fix deletes some redunt files, deletes the main.mix, renames general.mix to main.mix and install a new general.mix. Also the setup executables are replaced.
