To install the games run "Install.exe" in your newly created "Conquer The World" directory and follow the instructions. Be sure to run Setup Sound Configuration for every game: most of them have music which you have to setup manually. If you want to read the manuals they're in the "Manuals" subdirectory. (You need Adobe Acrobat Reader available for free from here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html . If for some reason the games don't run correctly make a startup boot disk with a bootdisk utilty found at: Extras\Bootdisk directory. ATTENTION: READ THIS CAREFULLY: In the main (Conquer The World) dir, there is a file called "manualscan.zip". It contains the MANUAL book that came with the game. Two of the games, Railroad Tycoon Deluxe and Pirates! Gold have PROTECTION SCHEMES. The old style protection schemes... The game asks you a question, you have to answer on it from the manual. If you don't, the game won't run corectly. Back in the old days this insured that the game won't be copied. Well, not anymore. The "manualscan.zip" contains the manual (in .jpg files) that came with the game. You can open those files with IE or Netscape or ACDSEE. The pages 14-15 contain the Qs and As for Pirates! Gold and the pages 16-18 contain the Qs and As for Railroad Tycoon Deluxe. Be sure to save those files someplace safe and even better to print them out. But if you don't have a printer, when the game asks you a question, use the Alt+Tab command to switch back to windows, find the correct answer and use Alt+Tab to switch back into the game. Easy! Also if you have any problems with the games like crashes and freezes, it's not because this is a "improper rip", it's because those games were designed for DOS.
