Okay, what MiNiME neglected to mention is that you need to have the Borland Database Engine (BDE) v5.0 32-bit version installed on your PC in order for this game to work. But the silly game also needs the registry entry for BDE v4.51, almost as if it was built using 2 versions of Borland, most likely a combo Borland C++ for the game and Paradox for the database. 1) Unzip and unace the game as usual. You MUST copy the DLLs and BPL file to your Windows\System. Note that the SHFOLDER.DLL probably won't need to be done as most systems should have this DLL already and it will be in use (i.e. you cannot copy over it without first rebooting in DOS mode). 2) Unzip the dogagsfx.zip into a temp directory. 3) Run BDE45LI.EXE to unpack and then BDE451.EXE to install a stripped down version of BDE 4.51. This will also setup your registry entry. - If you move the BDE folder elsewhere (suggest \Program Files), you need to unzip the BDEREG.ZIP file and run the BDEREGED.EXE to have it update your registry to point to where you moved that folder to. 4) Unzip the BDE32.ZIP file and run setup to install the 32-bit upgrade. If your registry is setup correctly, this will automatically put the files where you put your BDE folder. 5) You can now start up the game and wonder why you bothered to expend the effort that you did. :)
