   The crack enclosed includes the no-cd patch, along with the public
   server patch, allowing you to host lan and inet games which WILL show
   up on gamespy in the ingame browser.. enjoy ;)

   Also note that for playing lan+inet games both the server AND the client
   must use the cracked halo.exe...

   Instructions
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~
   Extract the halo_patch1.0-1.01.exe from the archive into the directory
   that you installed halo into.. now run the halo_patch1.0-1.01.exe
   and click yes when asked about the signed update.. halo will then update.
   Now copy the halo.exe from the \crack directory of thisd release into the
   directory where you installed halo... job done.. have fun
