Once again, it's RAZOR to the rescue...=) ³ ³ ³ ³ Installation Guide ³ ³ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ³ ³ The Windows 95 version of this game requires both DirectX v3.0 and ³ ³ WinG to be installed. If you don't have them, grab them from ³ ³ Microsoft's WWW page or FTP site. You won't be disappointed. ³ ³ ³ ³ To install the game, simply unzip all of the .ZIP files into a temp ³ ³ directory, then un-RAR the files over your previous installation of ³ ³ Heroes of Might and Magic 2. For example, if you installed HOMM2 to ³ ³ the C:\HEROES2 directory, you'd type: ³ ³ ³ ³ rar x -v -y homm2win.001 C:\HEROES2 ³ ³ ³ ³ This will extract all of the necessary files for the Windows 95 ³ ³ version of the game to work properly. ³ ³ ³ ³ IMPORTANT STEP: After you have un-RAR'ed the files, you must change ³ ³ into your HEROES2 directory (or wherever you installed it) and ³ ³ run REGSETUP.EXE. This little program will set up all of the needed ³ ³ registry entries and configure the game's directory pointers to where ³ ³ you installed the game. If you don't do this, the game will probably ³ ³ not work, and I don't guarantee anything. =) ³ ³ ³ ³ Bonus for HOMM2 owners: I decided to leave the CD-Audio engine in ³ ³ the game, so if you own a copy of the game, stick your HOMM2 CD in ³ ³ the CD Drive, and enable CD Music/Opera in the Game Options menu. ³ ³ ³ ³ That's it!
