	It is the 225th Year of the Collective Era (225 CE) The solar system has started to be 
colonized by humanity. As the populations of the new worlds has grown, so have the strains 
between them and mother Earth. War now boils all of the solar system and humanity itself 
stands at the brink of anarchy. But how did this time come to be? Here is the first in a 
series of source documents that will go into great depth about the past and present of 
humanity. It starts at the beginning of the Collective.
	The universe of Infantry chronicles a crumbling empire known as the Collective against 
a tide of independence movements, The Collective unified Earth after the holy wars of 
2200 and expanded humanity throughout the solar system in a series of colonies as far 
as Pluto. After almost half a century of stability however the Collective is falling apart 
as the distant colonies seek more independence from central control. A series of civil wars
on Earth have distracted the Collective long enough that now many of the outer colonies 
have declared independence and are busy fighting among the dozens of different factions 
that have arisen.
	As the whole solar system spirals towards a new dark age of war and technological barbarism 
a new phenomenon has arisen in the colonies. Psionics, humans with amazing powers of the 
mind. no one is quiet sure why the outer solar system should bring about this amazing change
in some humans but it has been met with wildy different reactions, from joy at a new tool 
with which to battle the great dark between the stars and a witchunting zeal which has brought 
about the execution of many "freaks".
In this chaotic situation mercenaries and warriors are in great demand. The players will 
take part in these Planetary wars and shape its outcome.
