  International Cricket Captain 2 is designed to build on the success of the 
  original game released to general acclaim in  1998  (which was released by
  CLASS in June 1998). Released in early Summer 1998,  International Cricket 
  Captain was quick to enter the UK's PC CD-Rom Top 10 and remain there well 
  into the Autumn. 

  The design philosophy behind  it, as was  the case  the  original game, is 
  to provide cricket lovers with a game that  is both an accurate simulation 
  of the sport and one that is fun to play. 

  Cricket, with its plethora of stats, is a  sport  ideally suited  to  high 
  powered, number crunching PCs, but even  the  most  hardened  anorak would 
  blanch at the sight of screen infested  with  numbers, but  ten  years ago 
  this would have been the only  option. Even  five  years  ago  there  were 
  arguments raging about gameplay  vs  graphics  but now, thanks to advances 
  in technology, it is possible to  have  both. The interface  and  look  of 
  game  was  approached  from  a  graphical  design   viewpoint; harmonious, 
  consistent and  non-intimidating, games  which even a  novice  would  feel 
  comfortable with. 

  What's new since the original ICC?
  Firstly, thanks again to all those who wrote in offering their suggestions. 
  We've tried to implement  as  many  of these  as  possible within the time 
  available.The first thing we'll hope you'll notice is that the look of the 
  game has improved. This is due largely to a switch to Direct X, making the 
  interface much more dynamic - note the scrolling messages, for example.

  One  of  the most   popular  requests  was  for   bowlers  to  go  around 
  the wicket, so this was one of the first new features we implemented.We've 
  also added more records, so that when a player is involved  in  a  record 
  partnership, or a new personal best, a dialogue box will pop up  advising 
  them of this fact.

  At the outset of a game,you can now decide how the club budget is going to 
  be spent, while at the end of a season you'll now find that other counties 
  are now much more competitive in their bidding for new players.

  Nothing , it's the full game with lovely limey speech from Jonathan Agnew,
  official BBC commentator for Cricket Games.
