 Junior 6 is the improved version of the computer chess champion of 1997. It

 gave impressive proof of it's playing strength at the Tel Aviv chess festival

 in 1999 when it played against the Olympic team of Israel, scoring 2:2, and

 beat the top-ten player Boris Gelfand in two game match with a score of

 1.5:0.5



 Junior has something for chess players at all levels. Perfect training for

 beginners, with explanation of every move, including threats, attacked

 squares, hanging pieces, etc. In "sparring mode" it will actually set up

 little tactical opportunities for the opponent to find. In "friend mode" it

 tries to exactly match your playing strength. It will talk sensibly (and

 humorously) about games in progress and later automatically annotate them for

 you in plain language. You will not find a more entertaining and instructive

 chess partner.



 NOTE: This is not a dupe of Fritz 6 (PDM). This uses a different chess

 engine, different database & different opening book.

 Unzip, unace or run INSTALL. Run CONFIG.BAT first, then run UNPACK.BAT to

 decompress the commentary (not necessary to play). Run JUNIOR6.EXE to play.



 NOTE: The first time you run the game, you will get an error message, just

 hit OK and it will run just fine afterwards.
