Hi guys, here is one of the (if not THE) prettiest games of this year! I'm talking about LITTLE BIG ADVENTURE from Adeline Software. As this game was only released on CD I had a look at it to see if I could make some of you guys happy by releaseing a "Normal-sized" version of it. Well I found out that the main part of the game is actually rather small (some 10 megs) and that the bulk of the CD has been filled with some audio stuff (voices etc...) and some nice 3D-Studio animations. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- BEFORE I CONTINUE THOUGH : This game needs some sort of patch!!!! It is looking for the CD and if it doesn't find it, returns to DOS. So if any of those fine crackers out there wanna take a look at this, please do, a lot of guys will be gratefull (including me!) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- What did I do now, well it's quite simple. There are 3 sets of LBA files floating around, these are : LBAMAINX.ZIP LBASHRTX.ZIP LBAFULLX.ZIP What do you have to DL? Well if you have enough credits you will need both the LBAMAIN and LBAFULL set of files. This is the COMPLETE game WITHOUT the audio files (those were an additional +150Mb!). Now, if you don't have that many creds to waste but still would like to play this awesome game (without the 3D anims) you'll just have to DL the LBAMAIN and LBASHRT set of files. What is the LBASHRT set of files I hear you ask? Well easy : in this set I included ONE 3D-Studio file (BAFFE2.FLA) and I reduced the size of all the other anims to 4-bytes. What do you have to do now to be able to play LBA? Easy. Let's take an example. One of the 4-byte files is called BATEAU.FLA Well now, you have to make a copy of BAFFE2.FLA with as name BATEAU.FLA Repeat this procedure for all the 3D-Studio files (NOT the *.hqr file!!!) and you're ready to play LBA. Oh, Unzip all files in a directory (f.i ADELINE), not in you ROOT, but I guess you knew this.
