It turns out that this small oversight in the protection Ί Ί was also responsible for trashing Razor's previous release of Magic: Ί Ί Spells of the Ancients. Here's the deal: I heard through the grapevine Ί Ί from some end users that Razor's SotA release didn't add any cards to the Ί Ί Magic decks, nor did it seem to really do anything. Well, it turns out Ί Ί some people said the same thing about the Class release of Duels of the Ί Ί Planewalkers! Further investigation turned up the fact that Magic Setup Ί Ί installs a serial number during setup time, which is generated from the Ί Ί operating system serial number/ID (ie: your Win95 serial number). This Ί Ί serial number was checked when anything to do with decks was fired up. Ί Ί The check for a working copy is simple: go into your magic dir, and run Ί Ί the deckbuilder (DECK.EXE). If the second available card at the bottom is Ί Ί Abu Ja'far, then you are running with the expanded decks. If the card is Ί Ί missing, you don't have a correct serial number. Copying the serial number Ί Ί to a .REG file didn't cut it as it's rechecked against the current system Ί Ί ID when the game is run. Ί Ί Ί Ί After the key has been imported into your .REG, a new CD Check popped up Ί Ί when you start a duel. This was also removed. Ί Ί Ί Ί This key generator will also fix the RAZOR release of MTG: Spells of the Ί Ί Ancients in case you didn't download MTG: Duels of the Planeswalkers.
