But since sertain people in Class always º º wanted us to supply a true european game(read soccer m.)º º we keept working on it with the time we had between our º º jobs. First problem was that the exe was encrypted with º º one of the best encrypting programs around. After going º º through hell with that, we moved on to removing the º º first cd check. Then we found out that it had anti- º º debugger code too, so we had to move around that too, º º before we could remove them. After the first checks º º was removed we started testing the game.. And everythingº º looked good at the first tries. After playing a little º º further, we found out that the game keept locking up º º at the same spot inside the game. We discovered that it º º tried to write at file to what the program thought was º º the cd disc, and in a uncracked program that would fail.º º Since we had re-routed all files to run from the Hd, it º º didn't fail as it was surposed to. So a nice little º º box popped up saying that we were playing a pirate copy,º º and should go out buying the original of the game. º º After sending that check back on a train to Germany, we º º removed around 30 more of these funny checks with this º º nice message. Something tell us that the programmers º º must have used more time on protection the game, than º º on programming it. And guess what guys? It was a waste º º of time, everything can be cracked...
