We didn't get to release this game due to clASS ³ ³ rushing it out the door un-cracked as they have so many times before ³ ³ and just planning on putting out a fix down the road...I guess all the ³ ³ blame should fall on Skill, since he proclaims to be running the show ³ ³ these days....good work bud! ³ ³ ³ ³ - The Punisher ³ ³ ³ ³ Installation Instructions ³ ³ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ³ ³ ³ ³ Copy POSTCRK.EXE to your POSTAL directory, and run it to crack ³ ³ Postal. This crack will also work on an original copy of Postal ³ ³ (i.e. one that you actually...gasp!...BOUGHT!) ³ ³ ³ ³ Crack Notes/Discussion ³ ³ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ³ ³ ³ ³ This game consisted of two patches. Game over. CLASS's initial response to this ³ ³ incredibly obvious screw-up? "That's just part of the game." ³ ³ ³ ³ 24 hours later, and still no-one can play the game...you'd ³ ³ think they would figure it out. ³ ³ ³ ³ The first check in the game was the ever-so-popular GetDriveType ³ ³ compare to make sure you are using a CD-ROM. Easy patch...any ³ ³ half-ass cracker can track that down. The second check was to ³ ³ seek to near the end of a huge garbage data file, and read in ³ ³ a value, comparing it a "valid" one. Of course, since this data ³ ³ isn't there in the CLASS release, a certain value is left untouched ³ ³ and the result is the "flaming Moes". If the offset is successfully ³ ³ seeked, and the data read in matches what it should be, a pointer ³ ³ is incremented by 16. And no more flames... ³ ³ ³ ³ The crack?
