 Г  It is late in the second era, a time of war, as the Empire of Tiber      Г
 Г  Septim sweeps through the kingdoms of Tameriel in a gloroius bid for     Г
 Г  conquest. Septim is opposed on all sides, but never more fiercely than   Г
 Г  by Hammerfell, the home of the Redguards.                                Г

 Г  The high king of Hammerfell, Thassad II, resists the Imperial invasions  Г
 Г  even as he sees other kingdoms crumble, until, at last, without and      Г
 Г  surprisingly devoid of court treachery, death takes its full measure.    Г
 Г  With it's High King dead, Hammerfell is crippled, plunging into a bloody Г
 Г  civil war between the Crowns, fighting for their homeland's continued    Г
 Г  soverteignty, and the Forebears, who have finally accepted the Emperor's Г

 Г  Crown Prince A'tor, son of Thassad and heir to Hammerfell, leads his     Г
 Г  forces in continual victory over the forebears. But the latter make a    Г
 Г  pact with the Emperor, which allows Tiber Septim to bring his armies in  Г
 Г  and crush the weakened Crown forces. The last battle is fought in the    Г
 Г  harbor of Stros M'kai, the ancestral seat of the Crowns. Prince A'tor    Г
 Г  and men fight fiercely, but are, in the end, defeated.                   Г

 Г  Featuring eventual rebellion from the headstrong Redguards, who have     Г
 Г  never suffered long a foreign ruler, Tiber Septim establishes Imperial   Г
 Г  garrisons in every city of Hammerfell. Lord Richton, the man who beat    Г
 Г  A'tor at the Battle of Stros. M'kai, is appointed Provisional Governor   Г
 Г  of that city. His present reign is not a kind one. The overloud Redgards Г
 Г  either end up dead or missing.                                           Г

 Г  Your sister, Iszara, is one of the missing.                              Г
 Г                                                                           Г
 Г  You are Cyrus, a Redguard mercenary who left Hammerfell long ago to      Г
 Г  wander the borderlands of the Empire. You vowed never to return, and     Г
 Г  the reason why is a shame you still bear. Forget the troubles ahead-     Г
 Г  the Imperial guards, the dragons, the legions of undead- your biggest    Г
 Г  fear is facing Iszard again. For she, no doubt, has never forgiven you   Г
 Г  for killing her husband ten years before.                                Г

 Г  Alright, this is a little different. This is the 3DFX version of         Г
 Г  Redguard. If you don't have a 3dfx card (eek!), grab the SOFTWARE        Г
 Г  version of this game. Both are stand alone and 100% playable. This will  Г
 Г  also save a lot of time for people ... Just pick your version and down-  Г
 Г  load it... 22 disks for the 3dfx, or 39 for the software.		     Г

 Г  This game was ripped down from 2 CDs. All the movies went bye-bye. Don't Г
 Г  be expecting an add-on. The voice-overs also are gone, but fortunatly    Г

 Г  effect were left in the game, along with everything else. Don't expect a Г
 Г  sound add-on from PDM either.					     Г
