 Г   9/13/97 - Interesting day in the scene today, all based around a little Г
 Г   title called "Resident Evil". First - SKL released the first copy of    Г
 Г   RE in the morning, then PDM's version (proving SKL's beta, and their    Г
 Г   admitting it), first fix for PDM version by PDM, then of course my      Г
 Г   favorite, The Razor Final fully working version. Let's talk about this  Г
 Г   Razor version for just a second (your going to laugh your ass off).     Г
 Г   I have no idea what went on in the minds of Nexus 1911, but I actually  Г
 Г   think they thought no one would notice this. If you compare the SKL     Г
 Г   version with the RZR version - it's the same! hmmmm... Lets look at     Г
 Г   this in more detail - First of all, the file dates in RZR/SKL for the   Г
 Г   exe file and the readme.txt file are 7/24/97, and the exact same size.  Г
 Г   Compare that to the PDM Final, both past 8/22/97, our exe is 22K        Г
 Г   larger, and the usreadme.txt is larger.  Did anyone even see a          Г
 Г   vlogo.avi in the RZR/SKL version? Of course not...it wasnt made til     Г
 Г   later (for the final version). Overall, what we have here is very       Г
 Г   simple...Razor actually stole the beta release, cracked it, added some  Г
 Г   wav's from the PDM addons, and called it final! When I saw what they    Г
 Г   had done, I fell out of my chair laughing at these guys ... Lets even   Г
 Г   say for the sake of argument this wasnt true, then why didn't they just Г
 Г   crack the SKL beta? Or, are they admitting that the SKL version was     Г
 Г   final? (Talk about being inbetween a blade and a hard spot!)            Г

 Г   Lets take a look at the little questions from the Razor NFO:            Г

 Г   1) The final version doesnt support non-3D cards!                       Г
 Г   2) The crack in the PDM version of the final had nothing to do with     Г
 Г      the 3DFX files! It was CD checks, hex re-routes and a file check     Г
 Г      to PU.AVI - thats it ... what the hell were you talking about???     Г
 Г   3) When the game has better graphics and higher quality sounds for      Г
 Г      the final game ... of course it's going to be larger! We have a copy Г
 Г      of the beta, and rar'd all the files with sound under 72 disks.      Г
 Г   4) The only amusing thing here was that Razor had to steal a game       Г
 Г      already released by a group called Skeleton, crack it, and call it   Г
 Г      their own. I feel kinda bad for these little guys at Razor, but      Г
 Г      you have to give them an A for effort!                               Г

 Г  Ok ... lets leave Nexus 1911 alone now. They are trying to figure out    Г
 Г  where to get their next beta from (that must be hard work!). For all     Г
 Г  those that wonder why Razor 1911 hasnt been #1 since 94, is becuase      Г
 Г  it became an old lame group formally known as Nexus (they were just      Г
 Г  to lame to compete in the scene), Razor took members from Nexus at the   Г
 Г  end of 1994, and when the majority of the ppl that made Razor 1911 #1    Г
 Г  left in early `95, it became the little group Nexus with a popular name. Г
 Г  In fact, they were so worried ppl would find out how lame they were,     Г
 Г  they actually made Razor CD's and T-Shirts (for profit) so the scene     Г
 Г  would think it's the same ppl .... funny stuff .... true story.          Г

 Г  It's all up to you now...fix up the FINAL VERSION with the PDM fix       Г
 Г  (we take full responsablity for the fuck up, but remember our cracker    Г
 Г  only had the exe, didn't need the whole game like some ppl), or hope     Г
 Г  the beta version re-done by Razor works for you ... ENJOY!               Г
