  Welcome to the most insane racing sport ever created!

  This is a cutting-edge vehicular combat racing game set in the
  not-so-distant future. The game thrusts you into the role of a Road Warrior.
  While racing for fame and fortune, you compete over 12 different Road War
  Association (RWA) sanctioned racetracks. Winning races results in increased
  notoriety and funds with which to upgrade and customize your vehicle.
  Various weapons and armor may be purchased, as well as better wheels,
  engines and a wide range of special add-ons.

  Road Wars is different from other games of this genre due to a number of
  reasons: in this game, you choose to play one of twelve characters. Each
  character drives his or her own unique car. Not only do the cars have
  different characteristics, but the characters do as well. Certain characters
  will receive special treatment in the game. One such character is a mechanic
  who receives discounts when repairing and buying items in the garage. Others
  hold grudges and will be out to get you if you mess with them during a race.
  This also enables the game AI to give the characters strong personalities
  with which to put some original aspects into the game.

  The single biggest difference is that each race has repercussions on your
  character and vehicle. If your car gets severely damaged during a race, you
  have to pay to fix it for the next race. If you do not have enough money,
  you have to race damaged or hold off on buying new weapons or equipment.

  The game also has interactive tracks. The track fights against you in
  addition to the other cars you are racing against. Blowing up certain areas
  of the track sometimes reveals shortcuts. There are also weapons effects
  that affect your driving, like a smoke screen that really works and much
  much more...

    raced both forwards and backwards, providing a total of 24 tracks.

    guaranteeing extreme accelleration, high speed and lots of sliding action.

  * 3 different weapons systems with a total of more than 20 offensive or

    Plasma Blaster, the Hydraulic Ram, the Swarmer Missiles, the Gatling Gun,
    the Excalibur, the Missile Jammer, the Oil Slick, the Reactive Mines and
    many more.

    blending transparencies for outrageous explosions, fire, smoke trails and
    skid marks.

  * Fast and smooth 3D graphics, fully supporting 3D acceleration under
    DirectX 7 or later. Also MMX and AMD K6-2 with 3DNow support.

  * Customisable control key and interface set-up, supporting keyboard,
    joystick, force feedback and steering wheel.

  * Play Single races, Season races or Multiplayer races with up to 8 players
