  Game Description:

  It was a gloomy night in the Valley of Death...

  The trees were alive with the clashing of swords. A fierce battle was
  underway. On one side, the righteous King Valadorn and his royal army. On
  the other, the Dark Lord Abberus and his zombie legion of undead ghouls
  and man-beasts.

  And in the middle, caught in the balance of good and evil, the one
  artifact so rare.. so precious as to warrant all of this war and bloodshed:
  The Chalice Of Bromingham. It is said that whomever drinks from the chalice
  will regain his youth, and for such power of immortality men will fight
  to their last breath!

  When finally the dust settled, the Dark Lord stood victorious over the
  lifeless body of King Valadorn, the chalice in his vile clutches. For a
  thousand years, Abberus ruled the kingdoms as supreme overlord. His evil
  spread across the land like a plague and with the power of immortality his
  rule saw no end.

  Now, after centuries of despair, a ray of hope is cast over the kingdoms.
  The legendary Lost Citadel... fabled home of the dark one's precious
  chalice... has finally been located! According to newly uncovered scrolls,
  the citadel lies somewhere in the cursed realm of Broodweed.

  Broodweed is said to be under a curse which hides the citadel from
  those who do not posses its four keys. The curse is also said to cover
  Broodweed's forests with a vale of eternal darkness and a blanket of fog
  that prevents any visitors from ever leaving. Only by unlocking the
  citadel's rusty gates will the curse  be broken!

  The fair king Agamon has called you from his royal army and bestowed upon
  you an amazing quest: armed only with the ancient magical flame sword of
  Valadorn you must venture into Broodweed, find the Lost Citadel and solve
  it's riddle, thus breaking the curse and liberating the great Chalice of
  Bromingham!

  Make haste and delay your quest no further! If the chalice is not captured
  soon, the few surviving camps of free men and women will surely be found
  and destroyed by the Dark Lord, whose reach grows ten-fold with the
  setting of every sun. The very fate of humanity is at stake!

                         Take heart mighty warrior!
       Though you may never return from the horrible realm of Broodweed,
      capturing the chalice and ending the reign of the Dark Lord Abberus
             will certainly make for an end worthy of a song!
