The game covers the campaigns of 1813 and 1814, starting with the aftermath of the French disaster in Russia and ending (historically) with the surrender of Paris to the Allies. Of course, the player has the opportunity in the game of altering history. The playing area runs from Paris to Breslau and from Hamburg to Vienna. A carefully constructed communication system elegantly portrays and accurately models the reality of Napoleonic manoeuvres without over-burdening the player with a host of special rules. Game Features: -- Combines both a strategic and tactical level simulation in one game. -- Advanced AI which gives a challenging game and incorporates the ideas of the foremost military theorists of the age: Napoleon, Clausewitz and Jomini. -- This is a ‘real time’ wargame, with turn-based action offered as an option. -- Multiple scenarios, ranging from an all embracing campaign, to smaller scenarios and even individual battles. -- A wide range of options for the player to choose from, allowing them to customise the game to suit their own style of play.
