The expansion adds two all new campaigns (yes, campaigns!) | | to the game. These 30 new missions are completely interdependent and | | story-driven, giving the player something more to strive for than just | | the completion of individual missions. | | | | LucasArts has designed the new campaigns to be totally compatible with | | whatever playing method the user prefers. All of the missions can be | | completed in either single-player or multiplayer mode, and each of the | | two campaigns is dedicated to serving a particular side. The Imperial | | campaign finds the player as a pilot for the Avenger Squadron, an elite | | unit dedicated to serving the Galactic Empire in the most dangerous, | | most difficult missions. | | | | Not only will you get to fly in the best squadron in the entire Rebel | | fleet, but Balance of Power also includes the B-Wing starfighter, a | | heavy-hitter that was left out of the original product because the | | designers felt it was too powerful and would unbalance the game's | | multiplayer element. Maybe they were right, but things have changed. | | The B-Wing is by no means a "freebie."
