 Г  although it's set in a fantasy world.  You play a powerful wizard who     Г
 Г  must travel across vast landscapes, engaging in huge battles, casting     Г
 Г  devastating spells and summoning monstrous beasts.                        Г

 Г  There are 55 different creatures in all and a wide range of spells.  The  Г
 Г  great thing is that hordes of creatures can appear on screen at the same  Г
 Г  time without any discernible slow-down of frame rate.                     Г

 Г  You can influence the weather system through magic.  Torrential rain,     Г
 Г  nfernal blazes, earthquakes and wind are just a few of the elemental      Г
 Г  weapons you can throw at your enemies, and it's possible to permanently   Г
 Г  alter the terrain in the process.                                         Г

 Г  The main point of the game, however, is to try to appease one of five     Г
 Г  gods, and to do so you need to gather your enemies' souls and sacrifice   Г
 Г  them at your altar, hence the title.  Through fighting you gain more      Г
 Г  resources and more experience, and so equipping yourself with more power  Г
 Г  as you progress.                                                          Г

 Г  The gods appear and offer you missions in the ethereal realm.  The        Г
 Г  choices you make here will define which spells you can cast, so choosing  Г
 Г  the right god is very important.  Play your cards right and your god may  Г
 Г  even grant you a boon to boost your statistics.                           Г

 Г  playable key), however it has been tested to work over the LAN.  Make     Г
