Angry Pirate 0:51 Release Notes: It's true that most comedy albums are only good for one listen -- how often does anyone really want to hear the same joke? Andy Dick, however, doesn't exactly tell jokes. His act is a profane, self- effacing, confessional therapy session with musical accompaniment. He talks about peeing in public fountains, copulating on a mound of manure and the nature of the DIrty Sanchez and Hot Karl (we're not at liberty to explain here; that's what the rest of the Internet is for). It's verbal diarrhea of the highest order: funny, disturbing and seemingly unpredictable.. The real selling point of Do Your Shows Always Suck? and the best reason to give it more than one listen is the songs, notably "Little Brown Ring" (please don't make us explain what the ring is or why it's brown). Topics like bleeding orifices, genitalia soaked in alcohol and drug use advocacy also get the perverted troubadour treatment. Not the kind of stuff anyone wants to be caught singing to themselves at work or in church, but give it a shot for a chance at unemployment or eternal damnation, which is probably the end result of listening to this disc. That and lots of laughter.
