Singer/songwriter/all-round genius muso BEN FOLDS is back in fighting form with
'Songs For Silverman' - the self-produced follow-up to his 2001 debut solo album
'Rockin' The Suburbs'. And friends, it's been more than worth the wait...

With bassist Jared Reynolds and drummer Lindsay Jamieson on board, 'Songs For
Silverman' set marks Ben's first work with a band since the days of Ben Folds
Five and delivers some of his most beautiful, stripped back and creative work to
date.

The 11-track set was recorded in the fall of 2004, during a six week recording
session in Nashville at the same RCA Studio once used by Johnny Cash, Elvis
Presley and Carl Perkins.

From the classic sounding first single 'Landed' and the re-recording of 'Give Judy
My Notice' (from Ben's 2004 triple Ep collection), to a moving tribute to the late,
great Elliot Smith on 'Late' and reflections on being a Dad with 'Gracie', the
knockout gems on 'Songs For Silverman' imbue the passion the trio shared in the
studio.

"We recorded this album really fast because I wasn't worried about making changes to
the songs; I'd already done that the first time through," said Folds. "All we were
concerned with was getting the right performance?doing a take, listening to the
playback and getting chills when you know you nailed the spirit of the song."

'Songs For Silverman' is available as both a standard and amazing deluxe limited
edition set with DVD featuring a 40 minute documentary of the making of the album and
