Clearlake-Amber-.Domino.-Promo-2005-****** is also a re-encode. Both releases also have incorrect tracklists with mislabeled tracks and tracks appearing out of order. Gotta love P2P. Enjoy the proper! - Amber certainly sounds like nothing else. Cop an earful of Good Clean Fun and you hear a seething morass of sound from which emerges a guitar solo so strange and fragmentary that it resembles a malfunctioning stylophone. There is a brittle veneer to much of what Clearlake do, but a majesty also, witness No Kind Of Life whose fizzy guitars and primeval drums work up into something which fair makes you want to punch the air. The title track, however, is a strange and formless miasma of misery with tinkling and shimmering instrumentation, It's a bit of a leap from this into the vituperative power pop of I Hate It That I Got What I Wanted, but you cannot accuse Clearlake of lacking variety.
