Chewing On Shadows (Unreleased 3:08 Acoustic Version) Release Notes: This album was originally released by Durtro in 1998. It was recorded in Ireland between 1997 and 1998 with David Tibet on vocals, Maja Elliott on piano, Petr Vastl on ghost violin and viola, Michael Cashmore on guitar and second piano, Steven Stapleton on whirl and Andria Tibet on ghost vocals and whistle. It was mixed by Christoph Heemann and Current 93 at his studio in Aachen, Germany. The music was written and adapted by Cashmore, Tibet and Elliott, with the exception of "Judas as Black Moth", "A Gothic Love Song" and "Whilst the Night Rejoices Profound and Still", the music for which was written by Cashmore. Mastered by Denis Blackham at Skye Mastering. Post-mastering by Michael Lawrence at Coptic Cat Studio. All words by David Tibet, except the album title, which is taken from the short story "Teatro Grottesco" by Thomas Ligotti. All artwork by David Tibet. This expanded reissue contains the entire album as released on CD, as well as an alternate version of "Chewing on Shadows" that was used on the double vinyl LP edition, as well as a previously unreleased acoustic take of the same track. There is a five minute gap between the ending of the original album and these two additional versions of "Chewing on Shadows". My thanks and love to Andria Tibet, Steven Stapleton, Mark Logan, Michael Lawrence and Paul Jackson. We all remain as we wait for the Return. Come quickly.
