She enlists the help of Sarah McLachlan, Shaggy, Jeff Beck, Ani DiFranco, Kelly Osbourne, Taking Back Sunday's Adam Lazzara and Vivian Green in reinventing the familiar songs, and also offers two new originals. The album was produced by Lauper with the help of Rich Chertoff, who produced her smash 1984 debut "She's So Unusual," and William Wittman, who was behind the boards for her 2004 collection of standards, "At Last." McLachlan joins Lauper on stripped-down acoustic remakes of "Time After Time," from "She's So Unusual," and "Water's Edge," reclaimed from the 2002 EP "Shine." Osbourne appears on a new version of Lauper's inaugural hit, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," a track that reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in '84. "Money Changes Everything" and "All Through the Night," both of which also appear on the first album, are revived with the help of Lazzara and Shaggy, respectively. Green and DiFranco join in on the title track of 1997's "Sister's of Avalon," while Lauper goes it alone on new renditions of "Shine," "Fearless," "She Bop" and "True Colors."
