The internet is buzzing with an exclusive mp3-only mixtape with Green Lantern. "Back Like That," his soulful new single featuring the #1 artist in the country, Ne-Yo, is gathering heat from radio and the video is banging on MTV and BET. Just off a short, highly-successful run with his comrades the Wu-Tang Clan, he launches a major national headlining tour this week. And even with the engine humming and the race about to begin, Ghostface Killah is still under the hood, making adjustments. On the eve of his departure for tour and with mastering deadlines looming, Ghost has just emerged from the studio again, completing a last minute addition to Fishscale that may in fact prove to be the album's second single. Entitled "Momma" and featuring Def Jam Recording's latest signing - Brooklyn's own Megan Rochell - the song finds Ghost doing what he does best: bringing to life vivid tales of struggle over a soulful, sample-heavy track. With the final tracklisting now firmed up, Fishscale is set to hit stores on March 28. And on Saturday, March 18, Ghost will jump off of his scheduled tour routing to play a very special show at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas. Headlining The Fader/Levi's Trading Post party, Ghost will be joined by the likes of Lupe Fiasco and his new labelmate Lady Sovereign. Ghostface appears on the cover of The Fader #37, hitting stands just days before the SXSW event. An excerpt from the cover story: "Ghost has proved himself to be a gifted comedian who doesn't just nail punchlines to prove that he's a clever wordsmith. Instead he's become an absurd situationist... Yet what most differentiates Ghost from not just his Wu compatriots, but from other rappers in general, is an honesty that can manifest itself as intense vulnerability... A complex figure has emerged." Never one to keep the hometown crowd thirsty for long, Ghost has added a New York City date to the end of the Fishscale Tour. Fittingly, the tour will now wrap at NYC's new venue, Nokia Theatre, on April 22. Stay tuned for more on hip-hop's "Ironman," Ghostface Killah...
