Lee made his name as guitarist for OZZY OSBOURNE performing on some of the wildman of Rock's biggest selling records 'Bark At The Moon' and 'The Ultimate Sin'. Previous to his stint with OZZY OSBOURNE Jake E Lee (then known as Jakey Lou Williams) was a early member of RATT and ROUGH CUTT. The guitarist also had an early, fleeting liaison with DIO. Following the OZZY OSBOURNE album 'The Ultimate Sin' Lee created the Hard edged Blues Rock outfit BADLANDS in 1988 for two critically acclaimed albums with noted ex-BLACK SABBATH vocalist RAY GILLEN. When BADLANDS dissolved, Lee founded WICKED ALLIANCE with former WW III vocalist Mandy Lion for a 1994 club tour but then seemingly disappeared into the shadows, mystifying his many fans who fully expected the guitarist to bounce back with a major project. Lee finally re-emerged in a somewhat low key for 'A Fine Pink Mist', initially released in Japan during 1996. Toward the end of the 90's Lee appeared on a wealth of tribute albums. The guitarist's deft and distinctive touch could be heard on '(Revelation) Mother Earth' and 'Crazy Train' on a tribute to Randy Rhoads, on 'It's A Long Way To The Top' on the AC/DC tribute 'Thunderstruck', on 'Runnin' With The Devil' on a VAN HALEN tribute and also on 'Get Down Make Love' for the QUEEN homage 'Dragon Attack'. Lee has also consistantly aided ANN LEWIS appearing on 1988's 'Meiki', 1990's 'Rude', 1992's 'K Rock' and 1993's 'Rockadelic'. The same year found the man on Japanese act RAID's 'Atsushi Yokoseki Project' album. In 1994 Lee, along with ex-MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP guitarist MITCH PERRY, aided another Japanese act AIR PAVILION on their 'Sarrph Cogh' record. Lee guested on IMPELLITERRI vocalist ROB ROCK's 'Age Of Creation' album in 2000 and also reformed WICKED ALLIANCE with Lion. The newly industrious guitarist also contributed guitar parts to the reunion HOUSE OF LORDS album and figured on the all star BOUERGIOUS PIGS album 'Calamity Of Vanities'. Lee finally broke a further lengthy silence by announcing in November of 2004 that he was working on an album of seventies cover versions dubbed 'Retraced'. Studio musicians included the MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP credited singer Chris Logan, veteran VANILLA FUDGE bassist Tim Bogert and the equally esteemed Aynsley Dunbar of JETHRO TULL, JOURNEY and UFO repute on drums. Tracks included would number 'Way Back To The Bone' by TRAPEZE, 'I'll Be Creepin' from FREE, 'Love Is Worth Blues' by LESLIE WEST, 'Evil' by CACTUS, 'I'll Come Tumblin' from GRAND FUNK RAILROAD, 'Hard Way To Go' by SAVOY BROWN, 'Woman' from the JAMES GANG, 'Rock Candy' by MONTROSE, 'Guess I'll Go Away' by JOHNNY WINTER, 'Whiskey Train' from PROCUL HAREM and 'I Can't Stand It' by ROBIN TROWER.
