Nine Black Alps are: Sam Forrest (vocals, guitar), David Jones (guitar/bass),
Martin Cohen (bass/guitar), James Galley (drums)

It seems only right that being awarded the prestigious Xmas / New Year-Band of
the Week slot is a fast-emergent quartet we think will make 2005 potentially
theirs, and theirs only. Nine Black Alps caused mammoth industry kerfuffles upon
their first entrance, with every label/manager in the country attempting in vain
to secure a signature on some ‘you’re ours for life now, punk’ forms. Later,
they signed to Universal-Island, and became managed by the same people behind
Radiohead.
