Rock and pop acts dominate this year's Grammy 2006 Nominees album, which will
be released on January 24th. The 21-track album samples an assortment of
Grammy categories, touching on classic rockers like Paul McCartney, U2, Bruce
Springsteen and Neil Young, pop favorites such as Mariah Carey, Kelly
Clarkson and Rob Thomas, and R&B artists like Stevie Wonder and John Legend.
The modern rock field has the strongest representation with Green Day,
Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Beck, Gorillaz and several others.

Rascal Flatts, whose "Bless The Broken Road" is a Song Of The Year candidate,
is the only country representative. Several leading nominees, including Kanye
West, Gwen Stefani, 50 Cent, Black-Eyed Peas, Beyonce and Ciara, are not
represented at all.

The 48th Annual Grammy Awards will be presented on February 8th in Los Angeles
and broadcast at 8:00 P.M. ET on CBS.
