Release Notes:

DJ Z-Trip's long-delayed debut album, "Shifting Gears," will finally hit stores
April 26 via Hollywood. The artist, best known for the inventive mash-ups heard
on his underground mix CD "Uneasy Listening Vol. 1," reportedly faced
considerable obstacles in clearing all the desired samples for the 15-song set.

"Shifting Gears" features collaborations with Linkin Park's Chester Bennington
("Walking Dead") and Public Enemy's Chuck D ("Shock and Awe"). Underground
rappers Aceyalone and Mystic appear on "Everything Changes," while Murs and
Supernatural rap on the unabashedly silly "Breakfast Club" (sample lyric: "I
love Count Chocula / when I'm watching my cartoons").

First single "Listen to the DJ" featuring Jurassic 5's Soup was unveiled last
summer via the in-game soundtrack to Electronic Arts' "Madden NFL 2005." Other
acts sprinkled throughout the album include Lyrics Born, Whipper Whip, Luke Sick
and Busdriver.
